Thanks for another great convention Shane! A good atmosphere throughout. Nice to see an increase in UK humour artists appearing, (compared to say, 25 years ago,) such as Gary Northfield, Laura Howell, Jon Rushby, Paul Palmer, Dave Windett, Mike Higgs, etc.

Also pleased to pick up a bunch of new British comics / books which I'll be reviewing on my blog soon. ("The UK comics industry is dead"? HAH!)

Just out of curiosity, who from this forum attended BICS this year, apart from myself, Laura Howell, Dave Windett, Brian Clarke, Kev F, Gary Northfield, and Shane?

If you didn't go, what put you off? Distance? The event schedule? The guests?

What or who would you like to see at a comic event that would encourage you to attend?

The fact that I'm in NI. I nearly did up sticks and go, but the cheap flights were all gone and overland travel wasn't going to get me back to Belfast by Sunday morning.

Looking like my next con will be the Thing 2009. Can't miss that one!

Quite understandable. A few of your fellow countrymen (and women) managed to get over as representatives from the Derry comics festival. You may already be aware of that event? Worth keeping an eye on this site for the 2009 one. I'm hoping to attend next year if possible:

Distance for me. A 5 hrs flight and then another 2 hrs travelling time made it a bit hard for me to go!

Hope everyone that went had fun.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
