The Comic Archive - What's new

Post by blaing »

Since I seem to be having problems with linkage, I'll start to post (major) updates to the blog on this thread.

Today I posted on my blog this simple equation...

Cuddles + Bananaman = Trouble

Plus I have another Sparky crossover

Many thanks for joining the early followers on my blog, Blaing!

I do the same for anyone who does this for me, and have left a comment on your own site.

I enjoyed the SPARKY scans especially.....I really must get back to mt BEEZER/TOPPER additions on here at some point.

As long as you don't add my drawings as 'bogroll', then that's fine by me, Blaing!

I received my copy of Topper Tales in the mail today, so I have filled in the blanks for the start and end date of strips that appeared in Topper, as well as the Sparky comics that merged into Topper.

I have an enquiry though, Topper Tales listed the first appearance of the Sparky characters in Topper was on the 16/7/77 (which was the same date that #652 went on sale)

Should the date be the 23rd, or (a rarity, I know) they made their Topper debut the same week Sparky finished?

It's been a while since I have posted, but I have a new series starting tomorrow morning for the next 5 days.

I'll be taking a look at a selection of Davey Law Dennis strips from the 1960's.

This series starts on Monday morning at 8:00 AM AEST

Just a reminder that week four in my A Look At... series is under way, and this week, I'm looking at some of the strips of Dudley Watkins.

Currently online now is part two (but it seems to be not showing up on people's blogrolls) featuting Desperate Dan.

For the rest of the week, I have Ginger, Mickey The Monkey and Lord Snooty. follow the link below for the latest.

Here is the latest update.

I have online right now the final match-up of this year, as Nutty's Peter Pest is joined by Cuddles to wreak havoc.

this appears here.

And coming on Saturday Morning (Friday Night in the U.K.) I start my week-long look at comics at Christmas time, in what I call the Countdown to Christmas.

I came home on holidays yesterday, and discovered my computer got frazzled from some storms last week. I had unplugged everything on my computer before I left, but when I returned last night, I discovered that my computers memory got frazzled. :x :x

Fortunately, I had schedled a few posts extra before I went on hols, so these should go online on the weekend.

I'm taking it to a computer repair shop later today, and I should be able to be back online in the nxt few days.

That was not a nice birthday present for you! (happy belated by the way - saw it in the birthdays list at the bottom of the Index page)

My PC's power supply unit failed a few days after Christmas, so I didn't have a very happy new year. I know how frustrated Bruce must've been. Got myself a replacement computer three weeks ago.

Andy: Sadly it wasn't a good present :(

I'm currently still on a computer at an internet kiosk while I wait for the replair shop to call me for the damage.

Hopefully things will be back to normal by the end of the week or Monday at the latest (it seems they have a bit of a backlog of repairs being made.)

Anyhow, I'll post an update on my blog later on this week.
