Couple of days ago, I was chuffed to find issue 1961 of 2000AD in the Kirkcaldy Asda.

Hope Santa has been good to you all.

A good Christmas - two gems:

Dan Dare - The 2000AD Years Book One.

The Trigan Empire - The Three Princes.

Great reading for Christmas and Boxing Day. :D

Got 3 graphic novels! One copy of the suffragette GN by Mary Talbot & Kate Charlesworth, one called Democracy originally written in Greek, and one alternate universes story collection which was mostly bought because the first story includes suffragettes who are highly skilled in barjitsu - yes, it's a suffrajitsu comic!
jintycomic.wordpress.com/ Excellent and weird stories from the past - with amazing art to boot.

I keep meaning to get the Talbot/Charlesworth GN. (My brother was at Art College with Kate many years ago - I've even got her drawing of him as a superhero called 'Typo-Man' somewhere!)

Since there are only a few weeks to Christmas, I thought I would try bring this thread out of mothballs.

For me, nothing yet except for this year's new-look Beano Annual which I bought a while back.

I have today had the Misty volume put on one side for me to collect from Forbidden Planet in Bold Street in Liverpool, and I have ordered The Avengers : Steed And Mrs Peel from 30th Century Comics, although they haven't yet taken delivery of the title. These will be my Christmas presents to myself. The last chunky volume I bought was Paul Gravett's 1001 Comics You Must Read Before You Die. I doubt whether I will manage that but at least it's an aim!!

This year's Christmas issue of Viz and I know this is a little flimsy as it is a magazine/TV guide rather than a comic - the Christmas Radio Times.

Isn't the Gwenpool story in there Christmas themed? That's what the banner is advertising.
