According to today's Metro Nemi and the other strip both finish today. To be replaced by a crossword.

Typical cutbacks. Well it's their loss. Nemi continues to be a success in its native Norway and other countries.

Metro isn't available in my area, but I looked it up and according to Wikipedia the other strip was Pearls Before Swine, a US import.

same here big bad bri..

I noticed one comic strip missing in the Daily Mail also..which hasn't been replaced with a new one..

The Sunday papers for comics used to be brilliant..now they are so small and reduced...such a shame and a lost opportunity..

i think metro had to probably pay some sort of licence fee for the strips and as it was free couldn't justify paying anymore, but i could be wrong.

I loved Rat! A great character! Didn't often understand the NEMI strip though!
