Middlemarch picture-story in annual?

Discuss all the girls comics that have appeared over the years. Excellent titles like Bunty, Misty, Spellbound, Tammy and June, amongst many others, can all be remembered here.

Maybe you're thinking of Children of the New Forest which was drawn throughout by Ron Embleton in Princess Steve. Lorna Doone was actually drawn by H M Brock (though possibly adapted from his earlier version in Thriller Picture Library) with new stories of Lorna's daughter and granddaughter continuing for many years thereafter with art by the likes of Eric Parker, Embleton and Clive Uppton.

Speaking of Jane Eyre, I love the way in which Classics Illustrated tried to present it as a kind of horror story by going overboard on the 'madwoman in the attic' aspect in their earliest editions! :)

Yes it must have been the daughter of Lorna Doone I was thinking of. (with apologies for ending a sentence with a preposition - what was I thinking of? Damn did it again!).

The quote went over my head. Does Amanda Tapping appear In Stargate? I really like her.

She did indeed, and I really like her too. Here is the quote I was referring to: :)
  • Her'ak: No matter what you have endured, you have never experienced the likes of what Anubis is capable of.

Colonel Jack O'Neill: You ended a sentence with a preposition you b******!
...The ultimate put-down to ranting, power-crazed alien villains!
