Re: Dandy Relaunch THIS WEDNESDAY!!!

I grabbed a copy yesterday, and I have to say I was so impressed. Its fresh and just what was needed. It would be great for the beano and dandy rivalry to return, now that the dandy is a comic again :) .

Well done to everybody involved, a truly fantastic creation.

Where did you order it from? I haven't sent out any copies for quite a while.

Viz Tat

Just wondering if all the things like the queen mums teeth and borstal boy doll that are advertised in viz are actually available for purchase or if they are purely spoof ads.

Re: Dennis-centric

sorry, i didn't mean to spoil it, i'm surprised it came this early anyway. It's just that i was quite perturbed about the omission of these two key beano characters and wanted to vent it out.

Re: No more childhood comics

luckily no one was hurt and photo albums survived as they were downstairs, i am urging my mum to get those onto a digital format. But yeah a fire just wipes out all possessions, my mum now owns no clothes and the insurance companies aren't quick to replace things either.

No more childhood comics

My mum's house suffered a huge house fire and all my childhood comics were destroyed, beanos from 1992 through to 2000 and busters from 1997 to 1999, annuals from 1972 to 2004. Has anyone else lost comics due to a fire or flood etc

Re: DANDY Annual 2010 - all comic strip, all new!

I started reading through the annual yesterday and i was extremely impressed with the Desperate Dan strips, the artwork is excellent and the scripts are very funny, well done to everyone involved. They are genuine laugh out loud stories and better than some of the stuff that is in the beano. A Despe...

So the latest Beano dropped through my letterbox this morning, issue 3517. I'm quite disappointed this issue revolves around the comics longest running character, now fair enough i appreciate he is the biggest star, has his own television programme and helps comics sell, however this issue he has an...
