Although I'm trying to sell my comics collection I will be hanging onto my Mad magazines along with a few other much loved titles. I've always had a soft spot for Mad. Luckily Don Martin, Mort Drucker, Dave Berg, Jack Davis, George Woodbridge and Angelo Torres were still contributing in the 1980s.

Two weeks ago I picked up 55 copies of Charles Buchan's Football Monthly at Kempton Park Antiques Fair for £20. They were 1950s to early 1970s issues. I've just noticed Press Gang begins a run on Rewind from next Monday 2nd March. I never watched it myself but some of you probably remember it.

I've only ever had freeview so no idea what a Sky box is. This unit has built in freeview so you can only record freeview channels but you only need an indoor aerial to get it working.

Should make it clear I now have several full usb sticks not just one. OK I confess one has Terry and June on it.

Obviously I'm aware of streaming services but prefer to have a physical collection.

You can buy freeview boxes for less than £30 on ebay (brand new) that allow recording to a USB stick. I've got two. I have complete series' of old shows on one stick. 64gb capacity.

Picked this up some years ago. Tomorrow it's off to an auction house with a bundle of comics. I can't find any images of it online so I thought I'd preserve it here before it leaves my hands.

I recorded them from Talking Pictures TV along with Space Patrol.

The Popeyes were:
Popeye Holiday Special 1975/76/77 (1976 has centre pages missing)
Popeye Winter Special 1976/78

Only paid £13.08 including postage. Three were Good+, one was fair and the fifth had the centre pages missing.
