Re: Best and worst logos
Worst? Must be Strip magazine. How dull can you get? A year or so before it, the designer actually criticised my logo for ComicScape. I'll leave you to judge which was worst: https://comicvine1.cbsistatic.com/uploads/scale_small/10/109303/2855261-strip_magazine_7_alt_cover.jpg https://image.isu.pub/...

Buddy - a stupidly under-rated adventure comic - and Marvel Team-Up (Seventies/Eighties version).

Re: Returning after a few years break
Yeah but people here don't really talk that much about 2000AD and other action comics (unfortunately, as that's my interest primarily).

Re: Commando Announcement
I suggested that years ago to Euan Kerr but, much as he liked it, he didn't think DCT would go down that line. Personally, I hope they don't stick to just WWI or II. Some classic characters from sci-fi, sport etc. would also be great but I can see there would be resistance.

Re: Returning after a few years break
It's old British comics here. 2000AD doesn't even get much of a look in, never mind the American stuff. TWD would only be of interest if it was the Topper, Wizard and Dandy.

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???
The seller does point out why it is such a valuable item: I am asking for £1,200 as it is the original turtles and art work in side https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/teenage-Mutant-Hero-Turtles-annual/223507927328?_trkparms=aid%3D333200%26algo%3DCOMP.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20171012094517%26meid%3D33010190c23...

I think putting comics in the bin is even worse. That's a horrific thought to me, regardless of condition.big bad bri wrote:I wouldn't dream of putting that victor on ebay ,it would go straight in the bin and the seller should be thoroughly embarrassed and ashamed of themselves![]()

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???
Not eBay but I was shocked my local Oxfam had a black-&-white reprint, Essential X-Men, for £15. Inside I was stunned to see another volume at £90! They are simply looking at what is listed online, not what is selling.

I'll be in the Glen Pavilion. It's mostly Starscape with the odd back issue boxes.

Monster Monthly #1 - Marvel - 1982
Strange that I'd never heard of that one given the date and that I had the full House/Halls of Hammer/Horror. Just must have slipped by me.

Until he begins posting on some relevant discussions, I'd be wary of anyone whose first post is a link to download software.

Re: ComicScene UK is coming to selected WHSmith in December
I bought this at WH Smith. That was despite the cover art which I really didn't like. It does have a bit of a personality crisis. It does seem dedicated to the mature Brit comic fan, so the 'out now' US side does seem odd. I would welcome a UK version of Back Issue more than the all-inclusive. Becom...
