Cliff appeared to put a lot of effort in each week to produce a consistently funny strip.
It looks like a labour of love rather than just another job, with lots of little additional details that added to the humour.

I've recently purchased a large batch of Whizzer & Chips from 1973 primarily to read the adventure tale, Trip into Terror - and thoroughly good it is too.
However, I've also been very impressed with the double page humour strip 'Timothy Tester' which has real laugh out loud ...

Born in 1965 and first favourites were Beano & Sparky, followed by Vulcan & Valiant, then Action & 2000AD & also all Marvel UK until sadly peer pressure finally made me stop reading comics sometime in 1979.

Ta Raven, I enjoyed the link for the discussion about the "puzzler" strips.

I finally managed to purchase a collection of 29 Whizzer & Chips from 1973, in order to reacquaint myself with the "Trip to Terror" strip identified by Raven.

Raven was correct in his selection, however my memory of a hooded villain appears to have originated from an earlier adventure strip which ...

Hi kind forum members - I'm hoping I can rely on your great combined wisdom & knowledge to help me identify a couple of adventure strips originally published in weekly UK comics sometime between 1973 & 75 that I've had no luck tracing? Hopefully they actually exist and I haven't just dreamed them up ...
