Fleetway issue Numbers
OK, Rod. Again, this is from the Valiant index, so if it's not right I'm sorry but I'm only quoting the info from there. No Valiant issues on following dates: 21 Nov 70-30 Jan 71, 19 Jan 74, 2-16 Feb 74, 6-27 Jul 74, 31 May-7 Jun 75. Jointly dated issue 6/13 Jun 70. Hope this helps. Steve

Thanks Shaqui. I wonder if this story has ever been reprinted in Dr Who Classics or anywhere else? Probably not as royalties might be difficult. Steve

Doc Who art competition
In either Countdown or its follow up, TV Action, there was a 'create a villain for Dr Who competition'. The winner would see his villain pitted against the Doc. Can anyone remember the name of the villain? What happened to the winner, did he become a 2000ad artist going on the DC/Vertigo fame? Steve

Fleetway issue Numbers
Unlike the person who findsthe issue numbers question boring, I think it is really important to comic collectors and fully understand the confusion that is caused by missed issues when only dates are available. The early 1970's saw the whole range of Fleetway comics not being issued for a good few ...

Can't remember the name of the artist but he used to do the covers to Thin Lizzy albums. Some of them are very Neal Adams X-men influenced

steel claw in America
In the 80's, Quality Comics repackaged old Fleetway yarns such as the Steel Claw and others. The original stories were framed with art by Gary Leach and various artists. Does anyone know how they were received. I imagine they can not have been as popular as, say Miracleman as they didn't last long ...

Fleetway super library comics
You are right, those old Fleetway library comics did/do look great but were always hard to find even back in the late sixties, I know, I tried. They have a kind of old pulpish look to begin with. Were they reprints of collected stories from the weekly Lion and Valiants or new stories?

NEW WHO COMIC
There has been another character who was featured in two comics at the same time. Dr Who. In the seventies he was in TV Comic and Countdown/TV Action.
