I didn't come home empty handed as I picked up 64 copies of Mad Magazine for £30. 1980s issues including three specials.


I loved Mad as a kid. I’ve read a few issues recently and they still tickle my sense of humour. I have an almost complete set of the UK issues by T&P with only 3 missing ...

It feels an age since I completed a set, but I’ve been plugging away steadily at loads of series I’m collecting and yesterday received the final issue I needed for the complete set of Action Picture Library by IPC from 1969/70.
I’ve been after that issue for a couple of years at least!

Another one off the list. I just had a delivery this morning of Fantastic Tales #8 which completes my set of 21 by Thorpe and Porter from 1963.

I’m so looking forward to getting this.

I thought I had a complete set of TV Tornado, but when reading through them, I found the illusive #49 missing! I’ve just bought a massive stack the series that holds the missing issue. I’ll have the set…..definitely, in a few days.

Misty for me too or for a varied look at different types of Girls comics, lucky Charm would be my choice.

But it reminds me of my politics A Level when the lecturer drew a big circle on the board and illustrated how very right wing meets very left wing when extremism becomes a factor.
I'm not a fan of extremist views on either side of the political spectrum.
