Re: The Jag Index
Fascinating thread and apologies for bringing back a post so old. I am currently putting together a collection of the Indestrutible Man from Jag, and I'm wondering if Kashgar or anyone else may have any knowledge of who wrote the strip? Thanks, David The most likely source for information regarding...

Welcome to the world of British comics. For every artist identified, there is probably another dozen waiting identification!

Re: What Christmas Comics Have You Bought Recently?
Once I saw the Gnasher Snood, it was a no-brainer to buy the Beano Christmas issue! After all, he's an old dog that appeared in the world 4 months before I and we all need to do our utmost to support the Abyssinian Wire-Haired Tripe Hound Appreciation Society.

I think I'd rather read that than the Daleks magazine!stevezodiac wrote: ↑23 Nov 2020, 18:33If anyone sees a bloke in a fedora, leather jacket and whip, that's me. Not Indiana Jones but Rotherhithe Mitch and the Elusive Bookazine.

Re: Daleks collection
At last I managed to get hold of one in the Glenrothes W H Smiths. They had two so I bought one for myself and one for a mate. I guess all we can do is keep looking.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
That is a nice find and thanks for the pictures. I have a feeling that pictures would not be appreciated for my latest arrivals. I received two batches of Girls Picture Libraries yesterday of which 62 were Blue Jeans. Another 30 odd were Bunty and Mandy. A mix of 24 Battle, War and Air Ace arrived o...

Re: Micron Combat Library
I picked up Combat picture library 193 today. I have indexed it onto Grand Comics Database but they have the cover listed as an Overseas Edition. Looking at their image gallery I see some issues are priced at 1/3 whereas most are 1/-. Am I right in assuming the 1/3 issues are overseas copies? Steve...

Re: Champ Comic 1984-85 'We Are United'
Pete Foster is still alive and kicking down under. Not bad for a 90 year old artist who only started out in the 1970s in his late 40s.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I did fairly well this week. I bought a big chunk of Victors circa 1967 to 1973 (384 to 639) and most of them took me from brown to off-white. I have made a nice wee profit on selling those which have been replaced and to top it all off, I found I had bought 6 intact Summer Specials when I was going...
