Re: FAVOURITE AMERICAN COMIC OF ALL TIME

My all time favourite American comic title was the DC 80page giant followed closely by Superman. Lois lane . Jimmy Olson but probably a very close second was this classic title Metal Men . Was not a big Marvel fan but loved the 60s British comics which had the marvel reprint strips. Probably the ...

Re: It's Scenario Time

Oh dear if I was transported to only buy comics from 2025 I would be in trouble, the only British comic I would read would be commando and I only like the non ww1/2 stories. As for American comics I find it very hard to get into the story arcs I have practically stopped buying them I just buy the ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Also via E Bay I bought my sought after Fireball XL5 comic anthology, Cost me an arm leg and kidney, but was worth it, worth every penny. Awesome artworks, even if the combined Anderson series strip is a let down in plot terms.

Wondered what I was doing but you could get run down by a bus ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I have now got the Comic anthology of space 1999 which reprints the story’s from Look in comic, plus I have put in a order for the soon to be released Stingray comic anthology. I’m slowly selling off most of my British comics due to amount of room needed and the fact the comics are starting to ...

Re: The Last Great British Comic

The last great comic in my opinion was Countdown which was the 70s version of TV21, Action was a very close second ( before it was sanitised) . I know many people think 2000AD is the best comic ever but I always found it hit or miss. Perhaps it’s a age thing I’m in my late 60s but I can’t think of ...

Re: Favourite Comic Free Gift with Issue 1

What about the tv studio free gift in Look in or fireball xl5 model in TV21, or even the model kits and commando comics free with Victor comic, there was some great and not so great free gifts in the comics during the 60s and 70s . The comics on sale most seem to be a Toy with a sort of comic almost ...
