Re: Kevin O'Neill

In 1975 and 1976 Kev drew several issues of Legend Horror Classics. This might have been done for that title, but not been published. https://lewstringer.blogspot.com/2009/0 ... -days.html

Re: Goodbye WHSmith, Hello TG Jones

We here in Scotland have been here before. The Scottish equivalent to Smiths was John Menzies. In 1988 they decided to concentrate on distribution and sold their many retail outlets to W H Smith. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menzies_Aviation

I looked it up, and Last Of The Summer Wine is the world's longest running television SITCOM. Several series, such as Sesame Street and The Tonight Show in the USA and Coronation Street in the UK, have lasted longer. https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20240318-longest-running-tv-shows-programmes ...

The 27th October episode of Footage Detectives had an item on Harold Hare's Own Paper, and some storyboards for the film Zulu, which isn't comics but Zulu does seem to be of interest to many here.

Re: The Last Great British Comic

Everybody seems to be thinking of old-fashioned weekly anthology comics, like the ones we read when we were young. By that measure we're down to The Phoenix, 2000AD, The Beano, and possibly The Megazine and Commando. However, if one looks at the broad field of comics Britain continues to produce ...

Re: Talking Pictures TV

Not a great film, but ...
