The new Battle Of Britain Special from Rebellion. Rat Pack as nasty as ever, balanced by a short story that left me a bit misty-eyed, and I've still lots to read. In the shops later this week. 100 pages.

The last scan looks like the work of Walt Kelly, but badly traced. He did a lot of comic book work before creating Pogo. This might be from Fairy Tale Parade, which has a Facebook page at https://m.facebook.com/WaltKellysFairyT ... l&mt_nav=0. People there might know.

I think the second page is American. The art style reminds me of the Dan Barry years of Flash Gordon (the fifties, mostly) while the heroic character, who seems to be called Dzoni (Yugoslavian for Johnny) looks like Frank Frazetta drew him.

In the 8th January 2020 episode (Season 11, Episode 3) of Great British Railway Journeys, Michael Portillo visited Beano Studios in Dundee. About five minutes worth right at the end of the episode.
