Pink Papers

no, you're spot on, i have some scanned on the action site from valiant/buster etc. from the week before action first came out. each issue would have 36 pages instead of the normal 32. by 1977, and the arrival of 2000ad, they'd gone, replaced by the far cheaper method of just losing four editorial o...

How Do You Compare And Identify Uncredited Artwork Styles?

i agree on carlos, and i think he had a slightly weaker 'middle period' around the time of his return to dredd on 'the apocalypse war'. funnily enough, i was checking out all the major eazy stuff, and the penultimate episode isn't carlos, it looks like ron tiner trying to be carlos, much like colin ...

he did two episodes of c=death game 1999 for action, plus some spot illustrations for the annuals.

once action went tame, he became the regular hook jaw artist, doing 50 issues.

he also did quite a lot in warrior, i seem to recall.

Thrill-power overload

pre-ordered mine on amazon for ?11.95, then waited through all the e-mails telling me it was unavailable and all those encouraging me to cancel my order. once published, they were duty bound to charge me the original price...absolute bargain.

it's very good too...

WHAT COMICS TO TAKE ON HOLIDAY

but did anybody ever buy a summer special or a holiday special whist on holiday? i think on a wet trip to the south coast i managed to bag a 2000ad sci-fi special and an action summer special to ease the pain of sandbanks in the rain, 1978 i think.

Buy more bookcases from Officeworld as that will allow you easy access to your comics and keep them more or less in the same place. i have them stored in the loft in big wooden trunks, which are indexed, but with a wife and two very young kids, they have to stay out ...
