Re: Spaceship Away - what do you think of it?

I read a copy a few years ago, and really enjoyed it. I keep meaning to subscribe.

The issues are expensive though.

Re: Victor Strip in Classics --- finally!

I'll buy this regularly if they keep printing the adventure stories.

Help identifying a comic story

Can anyone remember a story in a 70's boys comic which had a world war 1 story where the hero was a cowboy in the RAF/RFC. He flew in a 2 man 'pusher' type of aircraft (the propellor was at the rear), and fitted a saddle to his position at the front of the aircraft, and it could go up & down to give...

Re: Who's renewing there subscription?

I'm going to give the DFC a bit longer, and renew for another 13 issues. I would like to see more action in the stories, and feel the comic falls between boys and girls comics while engaging neither.

I wouldn't have bought it as a 10 year old. I'd have said it was a boring girlie comic!

Re: DFC the adventure stories are too slow...

I'm enjoying the comic so far, but if I were still 10 I'd be rather bored. I can remember not liking the comic my parents bought for me (Dandy and Look and Learn) in the early 70's. I used to buy Warlord & Action nd stuffed them up my jumper so mum didn't see it when I got home. Let's have some acti...

Help - Comic Story

Can anyone help me with the title of a dimly remembered story from a British comic? It must have been from the mid to late 1970's, and all I can really remember is that there was an alien attack on a planet inhabited by men. The aliens were in spaceships while the men were dressed in armour, and arm...

Re: Commando name going into new interesting avenues..i.e Viking

I never thought I'd say it, but I am glad Commando has been printing quite a lot of non WW2 stories recently. As a long term reader, some WW2 stories are becoming rather repetitive. For example, Nazis are ALWAYS evil (surely a few were just misled?) and there are too many Nazi v 'other' German story...

There has been a website address printed in recent issues for a survey of readers opinions. According to the website, this survey is for readers only at present, but they'll add a link for website users soon.
