I reckon he'll stay as well (barring an major disasters) but he could well leave at the end of this season by "mutual" consent

Re: non DC Thomson humour comics

Funny Fortnightly /Monthly s the best of the reprint books and it did have a lot of Baxendale including, in early issues the pull out "Badtime Bedtime Stories" (not my personal favourite of his) it also contained the odd Sams Spook, and quite a few Clever Dick and Swots and Blots - I just gave away ...

Re: First Comic You Ever Read

Almost imposible to remember as at the time do many comics and cant recall many nursery titles which I assume would have been the first ones I read - I do remember reading Harold Hare, the Beano and buying Wham comic - so one of them (but probably in reality it was Playhour)

Re: ABCs for Jan-Jun 2011 - disappointing results...

Even sadder when the actual newsagent sales of the Dandy are actually only 7.078 (the rest is subs) - How to these figures work, do DCT know on a month by month basis how the sales are doing ? I would imagine if they continue to fall (or even don't increase) in the next few months DCT will have to d...

Re: ABCs for Jan-Jun 2011 - disappointing results...

I'm not sure how well UK Marvel and DC editions are selling but in the USA the direct sales market figures pointed to a year-on-year deficit of 11.21% in May (the last figures I have seen). Although a lot of this was attributed to the Free comic book day sales - re the Dandy could it be the name of ...

Re: News of the World is history!

Good riddance to it as far as I am concerned its just a pity rags like the the Sport and Mail on Sunday aren't joining that list (IMHO) - without a doubt in a few weeks/months a new "News of the World" will appear probably the "Sun on Sunday" (rather than the Sunday Sun similar to the Mail calling i...
