Re: MOST `Nauseating` comic character of all time!

As an Everton fan I have to mention goalie Gordon West. Even more famous of course was England 'keeper Gordon Banks, especially for that save against Pele.

Re: MOST `Nauseating` comic character of all time!

I'm another one who used to skip Captain Hurricane every week. After a quick appetiser with The Nutts it would be straight on to the main course of Kelly's Eye!

Re: COMICS INTERNATIONAL

It's probably exciting for the kids, teens, and 20 somethings that Marvel comics are aimed at. If only Marvel comics were aimed at kids and teens. Sadly they seem to pander increasingly towards aging fanboys who can't accept superhero comics for what they should be and expect the characters to grow...

Re: Best of British - Valiant article.

I’m fascinated by the social engineering Lew. That the swats that read Look and Learn could understand a strip set in Gaul but the er… blots who read Valiant couldn’t so it becomes Little Fred the Brit with grit. Do the editorial team now work for News International? :?: :?: When "Asterix and...

Re: What was this comic called????1960's - 1975 ish?

Beware! The memory can play strange tricks. We had a recent discussion about Civil War bubble gum cards and the one image that had stuck in my mind was actually mirror-reversed in reality, like the image had been flipped over. This still worries me. For years I could vividly remember the fi...

Re: Best British comics illustrators - HELP ME!!!

It's hard to separate "best" from "favourite" but, off the top of my head, I'd say (in no particular order) Mike Noble (Ok, he'd be my number one!) Mike Western (from the more cartoony work on strips like The Wild Wonders to the more serious stuff like Darkie's Mob) Frank Bellamy (No-one can match h...

The pencils page you've posted is not Eisner's work. It's from the recent DC series drawn by Darwyn Cooke.
