Nice to see the Guy Fawkes mask. The other gifts do turn up but that's the first time I've seen the mask.
Tempted now...

Re: What comics DIDN'T you buy today?
He's also listed all the sixties Xmas issues.
Great selection tbh, one of the best chances I've ever seen to fill in gaps if anyone's collecting the run.
I'd love the full broadsheet Buster run... Easily my fav ever British comic.

Re: What comics DIDN'T you buy today?
If anyone's looking to fill gaps in very early Busters, Daryl's listed a load. Some difficult issues to find, not cheap start prices but might be a while before they show up again.

Re: What comics DIDN'T you buy today?
It really does seem to be endemic at the moment, I even had to get a refund on that Sparky #500.

Re: What comics DIDN'T you buy today?
My max was £41...
Hurricane #1 is pretty much a £20-25 comic so i think the seller has done well there, also considering theres zero guarantee of either of them being complete.

Re: ComicScene UK
I really liked Crikey!
Back onto comic scene, I'm kind of confused now about the numbering. The issue I received in the mail is issue 0, does that mean another issue 1 is launching on May 1st?
Or is that the same issue 0?

Missed out on the Tarzan Grand Adventure Album which collects the first six issues of vol one.
Poor condition but now regretting being a bit penny pinching about it...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I saw those and was really tempted but I thought I was being a little excessive seeing as I was only buying them to get my hands on issues 143, 144 & 147 which I need for the set! It's an interesting conundrum, isn't it, when you need to decide whether to spend a large sum to complete a run you hav...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
On my 1000th post on this forum, I've managed to fill another gap with Starblazer #265. Only #273 needed for the set! I picked up another couple of Tiger Holiday Specials from 1979 & 1983. Captain Britain Summer Special 1979 Boy Detective #1 (One shot) - T&P - 1952 Fight Comics #1 - Trent - 1960(?)...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Picked up a full run of Bullet part from #2, also including all the joint warlord issues. Guess I better get a #1 from somewhere...

Re: Ebay sales: Good price for the seller, buyer or both??
I had no idea Red Daggers were quite as expensive tbh. I've had a fair few over the years but only really sold them around £3-5 a pop. Definitely missed a trick there I think.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Picked up sparky #500 as I have the gift.
Quite a cool issue as its a free gift issue, a #500, and its the first with the new logo.

Re: Ebay sales: Good price for the seller, buyer or both??
I've had people say they haven't received an item and, even though I had proof of posting including door number and postcode, I had to issue a refund. How do we know buyer wasn't lying? Luckily only a few quid but with TV 21 it would be a three figure sum. It would be intolerable to issue, say, a £...

Re: ComicScene UK
Good luck with this, I actually did mean to also mention that some of the backgrounds to the text on a couple of features overpower the wording making them difficult to read.
Great interesting read though, and very commendable for the first issue!
