Re: Marvel Comics #1000 announced
It would be up to to the editors, but there's nothing stopping him making a suggestion. They could've been lazy and just used the company logo! There's actually a version that has the word Marvel from the current logo and Comics from the 90s one, used on some merchandise.

Re: Marvel Comics #1000 announced
Al Ewing's the main writer. He's British, so it's highly likely MWOM is the reason he used that logo, even if it was used somewhere else first.

Marvel Comics #1000 announced
Marvel just announced Marvel Comics #1000... and it uses the old Mighty World of Marvel logo from the 1970s!

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Titan seem to have a distribution problem, as WHSmith still had the previous issue of Doctor Who Comic 8 days after the new one should've come out. They also didn't have Simpsons Comics, issue 21 of which should've been out the same day as DWC, and I've missed issue 20 because, it seems, they never...

Picked up the Cor!!Buster special, and the latest Comic Scene. Both great reads. Re: Free comic book day 2019- cant wait
I can guess what happened there. Last year, DC only had one slot instead of their usual two, so they had to charge a nominal fee for the print edition of DC Nation #0. That was free digitally, so presumably was meant to be their second FCBD book. This year DC got their second slot back. I suspect t...

Re: Beano Annual 2019
They clearly have far too much surplus. I guess the annuals aren't as popular as they used to be.

The Dandy just lost a character. Corporal Clott has moved from Dandytown to Beanotown. Half page strip started in this week's Beano.

Amazing Spider-Man newspaper strip going into reprints
The Amazing Spider-Man newspaper strip has been axed and will be replaced by reprints. It had been running since 1977, and was supposedly written by Stan Lee but was really written by Roy Thomas. There are plans to relaunch down the line, but the current creative team know nothing about that, so it ...

Re: Beano Annual 2019
£2.75 nowadays. Bagged issues with gifts are usually £3.75.
That annual promo was probably Tesco using up their warehouse stock, as they were probably already only charging £2 at the most for the annual anyway (most shops reduce them to that price after Christmas).

Re: Titan cancels DC line
I think you'll find that means they've caught up with the US! Which was the reason Futurama Comics got cancelled, I believe.

Re: Titan cancels DC line
At least it actually WAS the end of the Man of Steel mini. You can just pick up the trades of Bendis's Action Comics and Superman to continue the story. A check of covers reveals that Adventure Time's current issue, #11, has the same cover art as the US #74. And that series ended at #75! Looks like ...
