Re: The Fleetway Files

Thanks for the kind words, glad people are enjoying it. I'm always a little apprehensive putting these out! Bri, a compilation of these is something I do intend to do at some point. Some of the information in these would not go well in a reprint, for instance the piece in 'It's Ghastly' about the 'M...

Re: The Fleetway Files

Thanks for the orders! The Fleetway File as a title was chosen for a few reasons. The brilliant winged speech bubble crest I would associate with IPC Annual output from the seventies and eighties, as noted it's a great name, and the clincher Rebellion own the crest and the name 'Fleetway' and allowe...

Re: The Vigilant, - new comic from Rebellion

Fair play to rebellion for doing these specials. I know that the idea of a new regular newsagents comic is not going to happen, but regular (quarterly?) specials might be a runner. Looking forward to this. I really enjoyed the Scream and Misty special, but I think I enjoyed the act of buying it from...

Re: Price increases

Interesting conversation, I helped my cousin sort my late Uncles possession's a few years back. He had an amazing collection of books, mostly Westerns and Sci Fi, an odd mix, records, Lladro figures, Hornby sets, comics and Photos. While some were saying it would be worth a fortune, besides a handfu...

Annual repair.

I usually pick up annuals or comics if they are of interest, despite the condition. They must be complete, but spines missing or torn, tears in pages, while I'd prefer if they were not there would not put me off buying. While I done mind the poor condition, I still want to keep them in as good a sha...

Re: The Silent Majority/Minority?

I started reading comic in the early eighties, and soon found after primary school that not many read comics after that age, certainly where I live in rural Ireland. Older comics were very hard to come by so the discovery of Norman Shaw and Conquistador mail order was a godsend. Norman had a very tr...

Re: Rebellion reveal their plans for classic Fleetway charac

There's a lot of people who don't have the dracula files or don't know about hibernia as its not a big company This is spot on. My initial idea/plan was to get the material in print, and get it exposure. The print runs are tiny, low hundreds, so anyone who has a Hibernia edition has a genuine colle...
