Re: Titan cancels DC line
Yeah, with the US version of Simpsons Comics cancelled, I assume Titan will have to cancel their version of that too. In that format, all that'll remain is Adventure Time, Rick and Morty, and Doctor Who: Tales From the TARDIS Comic. How viable will those titles be now? The company will have to focus...

Re: Free comic book day 2019- cant wait
I can guess what happened there. Last year, DC only had one slot instead of their usual two, so they had to charge a nominal fee for the print edition of DC Nation #0. That was free digitally, so presumably was meant to be their second FCBD book. This year DC got their second slot back. I suspect th...

Rebellion announces Funny Pages for Free Comic Book Day 2019
Buster's sort of back for a one-shot next May. And it's free too.

That looks like Dandy's Addie and Hermy, but drawn by a different artist. A prototype, perhaps?

I've not seen it before. But that doesn't mean it's never appeared here.

Re: Rebellion Purchase Comic Cuts & Look In
Yeah, somehow I don't see a Weary Willie and Tired Tim collection, for example, selling. Comic Cuts ended 65 years ago after all - so anyone who read that when it first came out is in their 70s at least. They can't rely on a nostalgia market consisting only of pensioners, they need to attract new re...

Re: Superlopez in Beano and Dandy?
The page you're quoting said "Beano and Dandy style magazines". I know for a fact it wasn't in either of those. Dandy did run another European strip though, Tootuff, in 2004.
Seems more likely to me that it was in one of Fleetway's comics?

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Just bought Sniper Elite: Resistance and it feels like one of Garth Ennis' War Stories. A wee bit pricey at £2.99, but I am going to support it as a certain bunch of rodents are making an appearance in issue 3! I found myself reading this in smiths, I really liked it! It's not a library! Did you ac...

Re: Beano : 80 Years of Fun
The poster in the boxset was also given away with this week's Beano. It's great (I'm really impressed at how hardly anyone is off model), except for two errors. One is that Mercurian flying boy Jack Flash is mistakenly called Jack Silver, who is a Dandy character. The other is that Scrapper appears ...

Christmas comes early - 2018 Christmas Special already out!
The Beano Christmas Special 2018 has already turned up in the shops. At least two months early, I believe?

Re: The Beano Book 1940 Facsimile
They're print to order and personalised (you can add a greeting when ordering, it seems these are a couple of pages longer than the originals as a result). That's why it's £20 and not £8 like the current annuals.
