Every con I've ever been to (most recent: Thought Bubble in Leeds two years ago) has had lots of comics new AND old for sale.

I agree :) Her 'Tamara Drew' and 'Gemma Bovery' are must-reads too. Yes, those appeared in The Guardian . I should really have cut every instalment out. Are they now in book form? Yes, they exist as graphic novels :) A movie was even made from 'Tamara Drew' but I thought it was kind of dumbed down ...

I can reassure Raven that the Sparky book 1979 has no "this book belongs to" page.

edited to add: you don't need to count all the pages, just count 16 pages (including cover) and the next page should have a "B" in one of the corners.

I just got the Beano Book 1959, by far the earliest one in my collection. There are several things that interest me about it, one of which is the prominence of Little Plum.
