It was just too “busy” wasn’t it. On more than occasion I would turn the page and immediately turn back to the previous page to understand what it was I was reading.

Jeff Hawke Books 1 & 2 published by Titan in the 1980s with gorgeous Brian Bolland artwork on the covers.

The Donald Duck title was in the same format as Vulcan, i.e. small and lots of colour (in this case throughout). Personally I liked it but that brought a hefty 10p price tag and too expensive for a weekly splash out.

Everything is apocalyptic at the moment so I’ve been rounding up a few final issues for my collection, namely Rupert 100 (1985 - Marvel), Donald Duck 18 (1975) & The Savage Sword of Conan 18 (1975). All have exciting news inside...!

You must have had many happy hours of reading. I’m always drawn back to the inventiveness of those comics and I’m pleased that Rebellion have brought back some of the old favourites.
