Re: Boys Adventure Comic blog
There's a rare copy of 'The Glasgow looking glass' up for sale today. A good chance to have a look at issue #2 of what is considered to be the first British comic. https://boysadventurecomics.blogspot.com/2023/05/glasgow-looking-glass-2-up-for-sale.html Very surprised that it only sold for £60. Re: What comics did you buy today?
1st issue of Buster very impressive. :) Can I be cheeky (weekly) and ask how much that cost? Not today but it in the last week I got a book, which is a sort of History of Film Fun, written in the mid 1980s. I'm not really a fan of film fun, but I find the history of comics and old comic collecting ...

So far, the only issue mentioned has been the one that you’ve already identified!
There’s a very good chance that it the only one. One chap who writes stories for Commando, said he has one that was holocaust based, rejected.

Now that’s a question Colin Noble would have easily answered.
There’s a group on Facebook called Commando and other British Weekly Comics. That would be a great place to hopefully get an answer.
If you’re not on Facebook, just say, and I’ll happily ask the question for you.

Re: Picked up Large group of Commando Comics 400-1000
Welcome! Commando doesn’t have any ‘key’ issues, so the only differential is the earlier, the better. I sell thousands of them every year and as a general rule of thumb, they’re 50p each over 1000, pre decimal are £3-4 rising as the numbers get lower and the ones left between #530 and 1000, £1-£3 ea...
