Re: British comics reprinted in Europe
I think the second page is American. The art style reminds me of the Dan Barry years of Flash Gordon (the fifties, mostly) while the heroic character, who seems to be called Dzoni (Yugoslavian for Johnny) looks like Frank Frazetta drew him.

Re: New Johnny Red comic launches in November
Here's another interview with Keith Burns (not heard it because I'm at work). The text is in French but never mind that, just look at all the original black and white art there, this time with the link: https://www.comicartfactory.com/keith-burns-johnny-red-castles-in-the-sky-air-battles-hurricane-w...

I can see no sign of Toth having drawn war comics for Atlas, so you're safe.

Re: Susy - French Comic
Captain Hornet, Nick Jolly, The Spider (under the name Blackman) and Steel Claw (Main D'Acier) all had their own French comics. I think the right question is what didn't turn up in French, rather than what did.

Re: Comics on TV
On Youtube, there's a 1949 British film called Stop Press Girl..
There are two newspapers in it, the Morning Sun and the Evening Comet.
Also in 1949, Associated Press took over the comics Comet and Sun.
This is probably a coincidence, but it's quite a big coincidence

Adventure Time is already up to issue three of Adventure Time Season 11, the comic book continuation of the T V series, so the UK reprint is good for a while yet it would seem.
