Big Finish reprint of the The Avengers
I know there are a few of us on this forum eagerly awaiting the reprint of The Avengers strip from DCT Diana comic. I have just received an e mail from Big Finish to say that is still on schedule to be released in November. Will make a nice book for underneath the Christmas tree.

Re: Rebellion acquire Egmont's archive of strips and charact
Lew - When you say the direct market would that be what Phoenix comic originally done i.e a comic with a dedicated print run for subscribers only? (excuse my ignorance)If so I could see that working and then of course in the case of Phoenix they have branched out into other selected shops, which is ...

Re: Rebellion acquire Egmont's archive of strips and charact
Sorry guys don't know what happened there, I wanted to say that it was a great nostalgia feel a few years ago when I picked up the Whizzer and Chip, Battle etc annuals from Sainsbury,s so hear that Rebellion now have the rights is great news. They are hardly going to invest in ownership rights witho...

Re: The Avengers from Diana
Yes I was delighted Phoenix to hear that news, the artwork is superb and the price is a snip.
When it does arrive I think I will keep it until Christmas for a pressie for myself
Just need someone now to release the Best of Janus Stark.

Phoenix I can provide you with an update. Approx 5 weeks ago I contacted Big Finish to enquire on its progress. I got a prompt response from them advising that it is still on schedule for a November release. So looking good

Re: Most generous ever free gift in a comic?
Loved the Glup drink free with Cor Comic No.1, it was different, also the voucher for a free Cadbusys Moose bar with Knockout no.2 was pretty good. I always thought the IPC gifts were better the DCT ones especially the plastic cars and planes in the likes of Victor were like something out of a crack...

Re: What kind of fan are you?
A number of years ago I went to the ABC comic mart in at the National Hotel London loads of British comics for sale so it was great. Is it no longer running? Not interested in Comic Cons selling plastic tat and overpriced merchandise. I guess it is sign of the times that this is what young people wa...

Re: What age were you most enthusiastic regarding comics?
From age 4 years reading Robin and Playhour right up to 16 years old I was mad about comics. Still bought them after 16 years but not the same amount as there was less titles that interested me and girls and music came along and my interests went down different roads. Also felt that I shouldn't be b...

Re: Atomic Comic Number 3
Richard I posted off some NJ notes to George last week for Atomic. The postage for the magazine wasn't a lot, a couple of quid, all in all was around £7 for everything. Well worth it in my opinion

Re: Ebay sales: Good price for the seller, buyer or both??
As a buyer my main gripe with e bay is that generally sellers overhype the grade of a comic. Even the photographs cant be trusted as I've bought comics that appear to have white crisp pages with the just the hint of yellowing only to discover that they were very brown. Maybe I'm just a fussy collect...
