Re: The Adventures of Fudge the Elf

I really like the Fudge books, high quality items with a finite amount of years and super fun to collect. A lot like the Felix annuals from the 20s

Re: The Adventures of Fudge the Elf

The first one hasn't been reprinted, Savoy only reprinted the two softbacks versions of 'Bubbleville' and 'Dragon'. The first one only has the one colour plate - if the one you've been offered has the plate and a full spine then £200 is about right. The first one and 'Frolics' are extremely difficul...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Spike #1, 2, 3 and 4. Which I bought mainly because 1, 2 and 4 have the free gifts and I remembered the gift very well from #4 as I bought it when I was younger and loved that gift!

Re: Ebay sales: Good price for the seller, buyer or both??

I've got a few superman triumphs listed on eBay at the minute, no superman covers, but if anyone is interested feel free to message me and I'll sell them at a 50% discount.

Re: Ebay sales: Good price for the seller, buyer or both??

I dunno, it's not the first appearance after all, but then I'm not really into adverts and flyers and stuff. Even if I'd seen it I wouldn't have bought it.

Great idea.

What an incredibly cheap way to get a replacement spine for any of the originals too!

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???

Well as I mentioned before I can only think that Phil was going on what the owner wanted. I personally would have listed at 99p and see where it landed. Even listing it at a £10k start would have been fine. I wouldn’t have added a reserve though, nothing like a reserve to depress bidding. I think eB...

Re: High Noon at 19.55!

It’s just ‘too’ high a starting price. I think it could well have made a world record sum for a British comic if listed differently, but £25k is multiple thousands over the top for the first bid. And unfortunately now it has the distinction of not selling at that price which sets a market expectatio...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

At last I've picked up the 1/2 a Million Redskins on the Warpath free gift from Wild West#1, after passing it up numerous times as I thought there were two different versions. So I've got both gifts for #1 and the full run of comics themselves, I think the time has arrived to get them bound! They're...

I'd arrange to pick up and pay in the lobby of a local bank with cash or with Paypal on my phone.

Done it before.

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???

There's a cutoff point on eBay where the maximum you pay is £200 whatever the final sale price no matter if its a special offer or not. But yeah I must admit I'd have just listed it myself on an offer day - you get them at least every month now. As to Phil's cut for listing it? I'd assume the owner ...
