Re: What comics did you buy today?
I’ve just won on eBay the Publisher’s file copy of the last issue of Terrific, complete with all the information on who was paid what. I look forward to hearing you post about that when you get it Shiner. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I had a fair spread of deliveries arrive today. Let's go through...

Re: Looking for the original of a Spanish published strip 2
The artist is Tony Harding and something is making me think 1980s. The copyright is D C Thomson 1985 so it's around about the right time for Spike, Buddy and Champ

Re: New pages on my Trevortoons website.
Garry Fraser was one of the Editors at D C Thomson, Trevor. He worked mainly on the Boys' Adventure Papers and was the live 'model' used (set up!) as Agent Fireball.

Re: New pages on my Trevortoons website.
I don't know about anyone else, but I enjoy the updates to your site Trevor. Keep them coming. In fact, I used a piece of your work earlier this week as one of the villains of the J.R. strip was a certain Garry Fraser! Once it was published, cue much taking of the Michael out of Garry, but he took i...

Re: My Grandfather was the artist behind Cap'n Hood
Thanks for the details on your Grandad, Max. It's not too surprising that you've not come across Cap'n Hood though Col as the strip only ran for 20 weeks in Sparky even though it was printed on full colour on the back page. It ran from No 212 (8/2/69) to No 231 (21/6/69) and it never appeared in th...

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???
I think someone has had a little too much sugar in their cocoa when they listed this issue of TV Tornado!. Adam Eterno and I were discussing it and we think it's overpriced by at least £300 if not more.

Re: My Grandfather was the artist behind Cap'n Hood
Welcome to the group. Capn Hood is not a character I am familiar with so I will need to ask the rest of the gang if anyone can provide a scan of one of the strips.

Re: A chest full of dwarfs - with legs
Welcome to the board Kevan. Almost all I can think of is Luggage from the Terry Pratchett books but it is ringing vague bells. For some reason, I am thinking of the Power comics of the late 1960s. Can anyone else help?

Re: Help needed, please !!!
Your name of it Taffie is a clue of sort. It could be a reprint of Tuffy, A Boy All Alone. The synopsis is basically a kid who is orphaned but is a keen footballer and a high performing academic who wants to make it to college but orphaned and left with an uncaring aunt/uncle(?) who only see him as ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I had the Masters of British Comic Art delivered and I think I have just seen a UK exclusive of being one of the first to watch the documentary Alcatena about the superlative artist Quique Alcatena who worked on Crunch, Victor and Starblazer to name but a few of the comics that featured his art.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I managed to get along to Swapmeet 6 and did fairly well. I swapped out 8 key issues of 2000AD, 50 plus Wizards, a pile of Red Daggers, 100 Dandys and a 1956 Dandy annual for 480 Commandos, 98 Battle Weekly, a 1953 Beano annual and even came home with more money in my pocket than I left with. I also...

Are we going to see many of our Northern collectors in Glasgow on Saturday. There will definitely be comics going back to the 1960s and maybe even further back.
