What do you all think about the Grand Comics Database? Does this contravene the copyright law, or is it "fair use" as the homepage suggests? It's certainly a very useful site, though British comics are very under-represented (plenty of 2000AD but no Buster, for example).

Radioactive Comics
American comics of the 50s and 60s are full of superheroes and plot-lines inspired by the atom bomb and radioactivity, but aside from the 'Cursed Earth' in 2000AD's Judge Dredd, were there ever any British comic characters whose characters or plots owed much to radiation and atomic energy? Re: Viz Tat
I bought a Viz mug at a car boot sale recently, commemorating the royal wedding of Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones in typical Viz style. Does anyone know if this was originally an offer in an issue of Viz?

Re: Comic badges
When I had a 'Gnasher' badge in the seventies, I remember the hair on it being wiry plastic. I bought a Gnasher badge on ebay recently and the hair is fine and felty (see pic) - does anyone know when the felty one first appeared ?
