Re: RELUCTANTLY SELLING COLLECTION

I assume, Bri, that when you wrote Misry, you meant MISTY. Why did you sell your full run of MISTY without giving me a chance to bid? You knew perfectly well that I had stated that I would buy the full run from you, paying your asking price plus your p&p costs. I do expect a reply, Bri, as I am very...

Re: RELUCTANTLY SELLING COLLECTION

I'll take the full run of MISTY off your hands, Bri. Just name your price, and include the postage and packing costs. You will at least know that they will be with a genuine collector, and therefore appreciated and looked after.

Re: "A pony tale" in Suzy

Derek (aka Phoenix) has emailed me those 3 Patient Penny scans from the Suzy comic I can't take any credit whatsoever, Al, for emailing the scans to you. My only input was to make Stephen, the computer expert, a cup of coffee while he scanned the three pages, and then uploaded them to you. I still ...

Re: New look forum

Having looked carefully at all your options, Al, I have to agree with Shiner that the clear winner by a country mile is Aero. Mind you, in my youth an Aero was a bar of chocolate. It's still too early in the morning for my thinking process to have fully kicked in, but come lunchtime I feel certain t...

Re: "A pony tale" in Suzy

Sorry about the delay in replying, Al, but believe it or not, we had a power cut here today which lasted several hours, the power only being restored at about half six. Anybody would think it was wartime again. My computer friend did arrive as expected, but under the circumstances there was nothing ...

Re: "A pony tale" in Suzy

You see, there's another problem, Al. I can't even remember how to do that. I have a friend here who lives and works locally, and who is a computer expert. I'll ring him later and ask him to come over tomorrow morning if he can. There is no point asking him to come today because I'm spending most of...

My day out in Truro

As the grandchildren were staying at their Nan's for a couple of nights, last Wednesday was a free day for me, so I decided to go to Truro for the day. Rather than drive up there, I went on the train. I just aimed to visit Waterstones and the two decent secondhand bookshops. From Waterstones I got 3...

Re: "A pony tale" in Suzy

I have issue 190 of SUZY, which contains the story of 'Patient Penny'. If you PM me your full name and address, I will scan the three pages and get them off to you in the post. I am unwilling to attempt the process of uploading them to ComicsUK because I have forgotten how to do so, and I am far too...

Re: Phoenix's Future Plans

As you have issue #579 and "My Bionic Budgie" doesn't end in it and I have issue #581, it would be a safe assumption that the stories ends in #580, making way for "My Name is Freya" which starts in #581. The problem is that My Bionic Budgie! doesn't end in 580. At the end of that instalment the blu...

Re: Phoenix's Future Plans

If you have them already noted that's great, but if I can be of further assistance you can let me know. I've been doing some trips to library to fill in some Mandy gaps recently too. Now that I am aware, Lorraine, that I have all the necessary information on MANDY and the other ten titles, it would...

Re: Phoenix's Future Plans

I know I have a bad memory, Lorraine, but I didn't think it was as bad as it is. I'm sitting in front of my computer this lunchtime, wondering why I don't know the answer to the question I asked you this morning about when The Healing Hands Of Hanni started, and then the penny dropped. I do have all...

Re: Phoenix's Future Plans

Morning Lorraine. I'm up and running again, starting with issue 574 from 1978. Just one carryover from yesterday. Do you have the starting issue number of The Healing Hands Of Hanni? There's no rush. Oh and by the way, I am not including text stories such as That Crafty Cat! in the book.
