Re: Spellbound reprint
Peace, Helen, I know there is something going on in the background but I don't want to push too hard. I will be speaking with someone who might be in the know a week on Saturday at the Swap Meet. If I have any news I can give you, I will post on here.

Re: Micron Combat Library
The Micron collections are building nicely and I have found a few like minded souls on Facebook. We are going to try and put together a full list of Micron Combat, Cowboy and eventually Romance Picture libraries. If anyone can help to fill any gaps in the listings, that will be appreciated. These ar...

Another Day Another Comic Mystery
Here we have another request for help. Hi Colin I have this mad recollection of reading this sometime in the late 70s/early 80s about a group of kids who can travel through time via a fireplace. One story they can’t get back home as it seals up on them. Am I making this up or is there a strip out th...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I am a more a case of what arrived today rather than bought. My subscription for Commando arrived along with a parcel from Abingdon which contained 12 various Battle, War and Commando (all pre-decimal), 2 Sexton Blakes from 1958, issues 3 and 4 of Fans' Star Library, a Pearsons Sea War, Pocket Roman...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I've bought the new David Roach book about British comic artists celebrating the famous and not so famous contributors to British comics. And yes, for once, I have treated myself to the limited edition hardback.

Re: British / American Comics in China
Here's the other set of comics, from c1948, printed in Nanjing. Full of American comic strips. Comic title is "Comic World" (圖画世界 Túhuà shìjiè). I picked up three copies from the outdoor antiques market in Beijing back in November. Anything from this period in China is difficult to find. Some of th...

If you find any Commando or War ones, I will happily buy a couple off you just for the sake of being able to have some in the collection.

Re: Character First Appearance?
I want to say she has been in Oor Wullie from the 1940s as I am sure that she appeared in the first Oor Wullie book. She was definitely in from the late 1970s / early 1980s but I can't say for certain if she was in any earlier. Hopefully Ray will be along soon and be able to answer.

Re: Hullo!
Welcome to the funhouse Werepuppy. I did think of going to the Rep to see the musical but unfortunately I had other demands on my wallet. I am not that far from you being in Fife myself and I can help you replace those issues as I have four boxes of Beano and Dandy issues in mint condition taking up...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I had a bit of luck a couple of weeks ago at the auctions and bought a load of ealry 2000ADs. I've got them all so I have managed to shift some of them through social media. I am already swapping 8 key issues for 480 Commandos! I also sold a small parcel of them and with the proceeds I bought 16 PL ...
