Indeed so jim244.

Update: Besides sourcing some more Lew Stringer artwork and Buster comics that they featured in. See my Tom Thug art thread new uploads, today had delivery of another Dandy comic issue no.392 from 1949 VG+ including a nice 1952 issue no.557 in FN- condition. :)

Went to Argos Old Kent Road yesterday and picked up a click and collect parcel of 40 mid 70s Busters plus the 1974 Summer Special. Although I've stopped collecting I bought them off ebay just because I'm very fond of the title and there's lots of Baxendale in them. Despite it being my 4th visit to that Argos I still had trouble finding it, it's hidden away in the back streets. Plus I got the wrong bus from New Cross to start with and had to leap off when it went past Old Kent Road and hurtled toward Peckham. Bloomin' Ada.

A nice haul of Buster comics bought there stevezodiac. Seen some excellent early 60s & mid 70s issues on ebay. Reasonably priced too. Been doing some shopping myself as you can see. Got another four more Dandy's from 1949 yet to be delivered needed to complete the whole year. My goal is my nearing its end. Once completed will upload some pics of them all. Feel like an expectant father would the arrival of his newborn babies lol.

Yes, I could have less that that jim244. I'm only going by the pictures that I've taken and not all the 1949 comics that I own. :)

PS. Secured another tonight. No.402. :)

Trust me, there is method in my madness jim244. It's only recently I've been taking pictures of my comics sourced as reference. Saves pulling them out. In fact, I have hundreds more not photographed yet to be checked. And to my knowledge seeing in 1949 40 issues were printed have only 11 issues left.

See those needed below. The numbers isolated I've already sourced.

386 , 387, 388 , (389) , (390) , (391), (392) , (393) , (394?) , (395) , (396) 397, (398?) , (399) , (400?), 401, (402?) , (403) , (404), (405) , (406) , (407) , (408) , (409) , (410) , (411) , (412) , (413) , (414) , 415 , (416) , 417 , (418) , 419 , 420 , 421, 422 , 423 , 424 , 425.

Thanks for explaining and your method does indeed make sense !!
My only confusion now is why include issues 424 and 425 as I'm pretty sure these came out in 1950?

Now you mention it jim244. You're right to be confused. So am I now? Oops, I obviously got my info wrong. Firstly my maths is crap and I need glasses. Just did a bit of digging on the Comic Book Price Guide website. And yes indeed in 1949 issues ran from 386 to 423 excluding no's 424 & 425 as both were from 1950. So in 1949 there were 38 not 40 as first thought. I'm both embarrassed and elated in equal measures, as I now need less issues to complete the full year than first thought. Hooray! :D
