But it reminds me of my politics A Level when the lecturer drew a big circle on the board and illustrated how very right wing meets very left wing when extremism becomes a factor.
I'm not a fan of extremist views on either side of the political spectrum.

I remember that circle from my A Level Gov and Politics!! 🤣

Films and TV shows I watched as a child now have edits and bleeps- Steptoe and Son with the word ponce muted, it means scrounger where I come from. But the Return of the Man From UNCLE had a scene where Illya punched Napoleon Solo for tricking him into rejoining U.N.C.L.E. ( we saw Illya draw his arm back and then a cut to Napoleon holding his jaw and saying 'do you feel better now?") but the rest of the film showed countless villains being mown down by gunfire. Go figure. Warnings are given before Land of the Giants and Lost in Space which were children's tv in the late 60s.

Oddly enough I've noticed that too. What I can't fathom is that broadcasters sensor classic TV shows like Steptoe & Son, Are you Being Served , Goodnight Sweetheart , Rising Damp and On The Buses by putting trigger warnings beforehand only to cut out or bleep what they deem an offending word. But then allow adverts showing people spraying deodorant on their bits. Where we then see a man smelling a basketball players nutsack after shooting a hoop and a woman with her nose nestled in a man's buttcrack as he passes her by in a cinema row. And less said about "I Kissed A Boy And I liked It" and "Naked Attraction" where winkies and minkies are on display. It's all cock & bull. Aaarrgggh! :headbash:

I have seen the advert that you refer to and it's so repulsive.
I completely agree with you on all of your points.

In the catering industry, I have always worked with people of many different races and quite surprising really, a lot of gay men and women at management level.
We all get along really fine and no one gives a damn what colour, sexuality, religon etc that anyone is.
As the wonderful Pink Floyd once stated....
"We don't need no education".

Finally sourced a copy of Oink no.52 from Feb 27th 1988 needed for a page of Lew Stringer comic art. Man, was it difficult? Thought I'd never find one. Will post a pic of both asap. :)

Update 27/06/2025:

Just had delivery of my Oink & Buster comics needed for some original art. :)
