The Flash Gordon art, cover and contents, is by Mac Raboy who drew the Flash Gordon Sunday strips from 1946 to 1967. Before that he drew Captain Marvel Jr.
Thanks for that .
The odd thing about the Supergirl comic that I noticed is that there is no mention of the artist penciller colourer etc.

162 items for £30. And, as I was putting them in my bag, I noticed a fiver laying on the ground nearby. Most are in Good+ condition, some VG and some need some patching up. Another Topper had centre pages missing. Quite a few four page inserts including Whizzer and Chips #1 and Shoot! #1 (several of them)
I went to a charity shop and they had a box full of Beanos and Dandys that they were advertising for free. I found the Beano and Dandys from the week I was born and when I got to the till they said they even more in the back. I ended up leaving the shop with about 200 Beanos (no duplicates and none I had before) with the years 1993 - 1996 almost complete. with a couple of even older ones.
I also managed to get a copy of the last issue of the Beano Superstars (from eBay). I'd tried to get this one as a child when it came out originally back in 2002. But after trawling around countless newsagents couldn't find a copy. its nice to finally get it after 20 years.
I've also recently got a few early Beezer books. The artwork in them is lovely. Full colour, back when the Beano and Dandy annuals wouldnt be in colour for decades. And some excellent Leo Baxendale Banana Bunch and Dudley Watkin's Ginger artwork. They also feature another (I think annuals only) strip called the Moonkids. I find the 70s and 80s annuals quite bland in comparison. But the 90s ones are quite good, mainly for the Bob Dewar and Tom Paterson art.
Well done TCT! Nice to enter a shop to see nothing but boxes of comics. My sister raises funds for my local RSPCA shop and often keeps an eye out for me if & when any vintage comics are donated.
If my memory serves me correctly. I think the last time I had a similar experience to you was in the late 90s when at my local boot sale in Swansea saw a seller put out a boxes of Hammer Halls of Horror magazines. My eyes popped out as I was a big fan of horror. Anyway, when I asked him how he obtained them was told they were found in an old newsagent that had been shut for years in Birmingham of all places.
I saw him over two week period selling and bought in total over 170 issues that included 40+ issue #1 , and had two of the rarest magazines they released that only had a low run. Think I paid 35p a mag. Still got a loads in the attic.
