Thanks jim224. Yeah, I was determined to get those Scream Holiday Specials. I only need the 1989 Spinechillers Holiday Special to complete the set. Not an easy task as you know.

And the Beano #326 1948 recently uploaded is a lovely comic too for its age. Nice to have those consecutive issues. 😎
Hi Into The Abyss, yes I enjoyed your upload, excellent acquisition.
Will keep my eyes peeled for the 89 mag.
BTW:In some ways Scream was a bit like the 80s' Action comic in that it rather upset parents !!
It didn't have quite the same fury against it,nor media attention but was found to be offensive and therefore remains highly collectable !!
Funny how certain comics cause controversay where others that have similar images of gore don't. The only comic that gave me nightmares was the 1982 Hammer Halls of Horror Winter Special #24 that had a strip featuring someone having their brain scooped out with a spoon.
The most disturbing scene from a strip in my youth that I remember was oddly enough from 2000AD.Can't recall what issue/year etc....May have been from "The Cursed Earth" storyline.....I do remember that it was a Dredd strip.
There was a man (maybe Dredd, can't recall) and his horse both tied to the ground, both about to be tortured....
I couldn't get my mind around the grotesque idea of the torture of an animal.......

Just had delivery of my two Scream Holiday Specials from 1987/88 in FN condition. Currently I've got four out of the five specials needed to complete the collection, although next on my to-do list is the rarer 1989 Scream Spinechillers Holiday Special. Only then will I reach a state of horror nirvana, he says living in hope. :)

Got myself a Buster comic from the 20th September 1986. Reason being, I recently bought a complete two page story of Fright School comic art. :)

Pleased for you Chalky. Love the Buster comic too, especially the early issues. Coincidentally, yesterday I myself had a bargain too. As you know I've recently sourced a set of 1 to 15 Scream comics with free gifts, plus four out of the five specials. Anyway, yesterday I bought again the entire run of the Scream comic 1-15 plus a doubler in VG cond for, and steady yourself, £5, inc £3 p&p, so £8 all in. Some issues, with the exception of 1 & 2 with free gifts & holiday specials, are going on ebay for between £12 to £20+ each, depending on condition obviously. Once bagged & boarded will upload some pics asap. :)

Here they are. My Dandy comic no.59 from the 14th of January 1939 in fine -condition, plus the 16x Scream comics (two doublers) bought recently for an amazing £5 inc £3 p&p. And all, well apart from issue #1 that is that had slight damage to the front cover due to the free gift teeth being removed, were in fine condition. Happy is an understatement. 8)

Although technically not a comic, today bought myself a 1960 Dandy issue #991 "Thunderbang" free gift. Next on my to-do list is to source the comic it featured in. Pic to follow asap. 🙂
