Bustercomic.co.uk can exclusively reveal that the launch of the much anticipated Buster special has been delayed until 9th December, in favour of Misty getting a September launch and being in the shops of Hallowe'en.

It's quite exciting, particularly as the launch will be just shy of ten years to the day since the final Buster was released!

Re: Buster & Misty Swap Places
Makes better sense too, as Buster is more likely to be bought as a "stocking filler" for Christmas.
Having said that, I hope they're wise enough to put a few Christmas strips in it!

I don't mind this at all, as I have lots of Buster and no Misty - and I'm quite intrigued by it.

I wouldn't hope too much for Christmas strips - the comic is due to be on sale until March 2010 so I think they'll probably go for generic strips.Lew Stringer wrote:Makes better sense too, as Buster is more likely to be bought as a "stocking filler" for Christmas.

In an unusual case of joined-up thinking my local Smiths stocked the special right next to the current Classic from the Comics. A ncie looking package - quick a few text features as well.

Mine stacked it next to the still-on-sale Battle special, along with 2000AD and the Marvel/DC reprints. As good a place as any for it, I suppose.ogtec wrote:In an unusual case of joined-up thinking my local Smiths stocked the special right next to the current Classic from the Comics. My local Smiths had the Misty special in its alphabetical place under C for Classic Comics.PaulTwist wrote:Mine stacked it next to the still-on-sale Battle special, along with 2000AD and the Marvel/DC reprints. Interestingly The Beano now appears in its own presentation box on a lower level. Unfortunately the staff had put them all in upside down and back to front again. And the flimsiness of the new paper coupled with the weight of the cover mount had made a few of them roll over so they were totally obscured.

Bought this for the wife.
Works out a better product than the Battle one as Misty had enough short stories to fill an issue.

My local Smiths has on of those presentation boxes too. Only the comics were actually the right way up! It was on the highest of three shelves, which is eye level for an adult.Lew Stringer wrote:Interestingly The Beano now appears in its own presentation box on a lower level.
