Funny how different comics printed by the same company have their Christmas issues on different dates for the same year (e.g. Lion and Champion and Tiger and Hurricane).
Reading comics since 1970. My Current Regulars are: 2000 AD (1977-), Judge Dredd Megazine (1990-), Spaceship Away (2003-), Commando (2013-), Deadpool and Wolverine (2023-), Quantum (2023-).
Visited the old house last week and found a batch of 2000ADs. Spooky as I had the house cleared and could have sworn that all my shelves in my old study had been cleared. They were spares and not part of my collection. However, it had a 1989 Xmas issue so that went into my Xmas collection.

When the first Doctor Who film was released in 1965 Lewis's department store in Stoke city centre converted the space they normally used for Santa's grotto into a Dalek 'control room'. I queued for ages with my mum to meet the mechanical monsters, who eventually rewarded my patience by presenting me with my very own copy of the 'Dalek Code' (though I never understood why Daleks attached so much importance to 'cleaning their teeth every day'! )

My copy of the Christmas 2000AD sporting a brilliant Ian Kennedy wrap-around cover arrived yesterday. Interestingly enough, no Prog 2015 but instead it is using the standard issue numbering (Prog 1961).

Have you got this year's Chrimbo special? You should as it's good jump on point since it contains a new batch of strips for the new year.
