Ebay - you want how much for it???

But is this purely an adult forum Bri? Given the subject matter I'd guess that quite a few younger people look in from time to time, even if most of them aren't regular posters.

Do they honestly expect to sell these with all the centre pages missing in every issue,i would chuck them in bin.
Agreed. I bought a few Battles a while ago and some had pages cut out. (In that instance, the description didn't state the comics were mutilated.) It ruined a few story pages, so after getting a part-refund for the damaged copies I threw them in the bin and bought replacements.

Looking dispassionately at that price I suspect that collectors in general would barely raise an eyebrow. If we want something badly enough we grit our teeth and put the bid in, knowing full well that we may even have to raise it. It was a number 1 when all's said and done. I would never have bought it though as I am not a fan of war comics.

it may have been the fact it has part free gift too that it went for 100 quid.

I just see that as the seller has seen the buyer coming even with part free gift it is about £60 over what I paid and I thought mine was expensive.

I get the thing about somethings are only worth what people are willing to pay but ebay has become more of a minefield were the same comic can appear at the top and the bottom of a search how can this help the buyers and the collectors?

I Have a copy of Battle issue 2 with poster and in a good condition and I have no Idea what to price it at and looking at ebay prices is not helping anymore. I don't want to sell for to little and someone get a steal and don't want to price it to high and get no sale and or end up on this thread lol.

I just think that buying and selling of comics on ebay has become a problem.

when are they going to get the hint, it's been up for months and months and won't even sell for half that price.

Looks like the free gift has left an impression on the cover, with the chemicals from the lamination soaking into the paper.

I sold a W&C No.1 with gift a few years back for about £60 and that was in immaculate condition, so I doubt those issues will sell for that amount at that lower quality.

I have a near mint copy of Battle 1 in storage with free gift. When I get access to storage and my hand gets better I'll see if I can find it.

2 were sold about 18 months ago for £132 and £210 and they were in VG condition only so the prices have been rising but almost £1000 is way OTT. I think £200-£250 would be a good deal in the current market.

Yes, sounds more reasonable.

Aren't we a tad optimistic for this Oor Wullie Summer SPecial?

the £49.95 starting price should be the Buy It Now option, not the starting bid.
