Hi,
for the Asterix reprints in Valiant - does anyone have copies to hand? I know that the story reprinted was Asterix the Gaul but I just wondered if it was one page a week or two?
It only ran for 21 weeks so at 2 pages a week it might just have gone through the whole story
cheers

From Wikipedia:
Valiant comicEdit
An edited-down version of Asterix the Gaul appeared in Valiant, a boys' comic published by Fleetway Publications, beginning in the issue dated 16 November 1963.[3] It appeared in colour on the back page. Set in the Britain of 43AD, the strip was originally called Little Fred and Big Ed. Little Fred and stonemason Big Ed lived in the village of Nevergivup which was surrounded by eight Roman camps: Harmonium, Cranium, Pandemonium, Premium, Rostrum, Aquarium, Maximum and Laudanum. Their druid was called Hokus Pokus. As the story progresses and Obelix is absent from the action, the strip was renamed Little Fred, the Ancient Brit with Bags of Grit. The story concluded in the issue dated 4 April 1964.

That Wikipedia quote was written by your truly!
They got through the whole story in one page per week. As an example of how they edited it, here's a comparison of the last two pages of the original and how they appeared in Valiant:

Of course, this wasn't the first time Uderzo's art had graced the pages of Valiant. The first two Belloy stories had appeared as Paladin the Fearless. "Chevalier Sans Armure" was in issues 1 - 20 and "La Princesse Captive" in issues 21 - 43.
