Hello all,
I'm trying to find out information about Christmas issues of the Boy's Own comic from the early 1880s, perhaps 1882. In particular details of any free gifts that may have been given away.
I believe there may have been a pull-out shadow puppet theatre, with a blue father Christmas figure at the top of the page.
Does anyone have access to such early editions of the Boy's Own?
With thanks,
Adam

Re: Boy's Own Help 1880s
I have some Boys Own Papers including the first issue. I came across some from 1882/83 on Friday but it wasn't the sort of publication to have "Grand Free Gift Number" plastered over its cover. I'll have a look through them in the week.
