Including postage/packing/commission etc it works out at about 27p per issue

There were only 4 pre-decimal issues so while it tempted me, it did not tempt me enough.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

The rolling pin that Karen was holding threateningly over your head would need to have been factored into your thinking too. :)

I was going to look at them as well. I forgot all about the auction until I received an email telling me I'd won with my pre-bid!

At 15 minutes a comic, I make that 750 hours of reading............I think I'll take my time! I intend to catalogue them first and add in my existing comics. It may start a whole new area to collect in as I try to get all 5000!

I don't think I'd like to be in your shoes, Adam, when your Mrs gets a sniff of that plan.

With regard to Karen, the rolling pin that she is holding is why did I not bid? She shares my love of comics and to her, the addition of the majority of Commando would be a blessing not a curse.

Col, I thought of you when I saw these as well. The next lot look good as well if I were local.
