Thanks for those 3 scans Phil. I have added them to the Gallery.

I have shifted the 1984,1985 Specials down by one year and placed your 1985 Special into the correct position. This decision was based on the cover price of each publication.

I've just checked them, Al, and that doesn't appear to be the case. The original 1985 is still in the same position, and the 1984 is in both the 1984 and 1983 slots. Phil's 1985 cover is nowhere to be seen.

Thanks, Andy. It does look OK now. I'm quite surprised because, although I'm constantly refreshing pages, it's never occurred to me to refresh that one. You live and learn. I think I was thrown by the fact that the page I described was actually different from the way it was the previous time I'd looked at it, which was earlier today, when the 1984 image was only in the 1984 slot.

Thanks Al, that certainly looks a lot more complete - though, as these two scans show, the series carried on until at least 2004.

Annoyingly, we've got 3 more 'blank' frames in the gallery for the years 2000, 2001 and 2002 But it's nice to have another 5 'new' covers. I've also added the final Jinty Special (1983) and a couple of Valentine Pop Specials (1960 and 1963).

Some eBayer has just paid £256 for the first (1963) Bunty Summer Special. It wasn't me. I will admit that my finger was poised to confirm my highish bid when I was roundly outbid with my finger in mid-air. I wanted it too. Some people have no consideration. At least I won the other (1967) one, so menos mal, as they say in Spain.
