Yes, it was reprinted with a new title. Can't find the thread just now but we did mention it here somewhere.AndyB wrote:I'm pretty sure I saw it reprinted in a recent Fun Size Dandy. Could be wrong *e-mails and checks*alanultron5 wrote:It was? Where was that please Andy?

The I Spy story in FSD63 was called "Ha! Ha! Said the Clown" - I logged it on my Comic Libraries list. What's the new title?

"Ha Ha Said The Clown" was an old Manfred Mann song! Made No 3 in April 1967 (Melody Maker chart)

My apologies about Friday Lew; I was a bit ill that afternoon! but! Lew has now sent me the `fun size 63` which means I have `EVERY` I.Spy strip ever printed now! (Unless there's something I don't know about!) Cheers Lew!

I have a feeling that one of the later Hotspur Books featured an I-Spy strip but you may have this in your collection in any case. Then again I may be just fantasising the whole thing from nothing. I have before.

I haven't had a chance to check it yet Alan but I'll let you know tomorrow if I'm on the ball or just suffering a case of doolally tap.
Re: I. Spy - the `years of decline, Sparky & Champ
I had a look in the 1979, 1980 & 1983 Hotspur Annuals ISPY wasn't in any of them.
Re: I. Spy - the `years of decline, Sparky & Champ
Apologies. It wasn't I-Spy but Nick Kelly. Although given that both of the strips were drawn by Brian Walker I think I'll forgive myself for the confusion if no one else will.
The strips in question appeared in the 1989 (The Case of the Drain Brain) and 1990 (Cackles and Muscles) editions of the Hotspur annual.

It featured in Topper the same week the last Sparky was issued.

So the Sparky pull-out started a week BEFORE the first merged issue then.
