Good Morning From Surrey UK

Post by jim244 »

Hi everyone,I found this forum by accident whilst browsing the net.
I am a UK comic collector of many UK and USA publications.
My largest collections are of Look-In (most issues from 1971 - 1981)including complete runs of Six Million Dollar Man;Bionic Woman;Dick Turpin;Battlestar Galactica,Space 1999 etc);Marvel UK;TV Comic;Bullet;Commando etc.
I have been reading this forum for a few days and noticed that you have the FANTASTIC ARTIST Lew Stringer as a member.
I used to read his blog before it was cancelled (by Lew himself,he was too busy to continue it I believe).
Lew,if you are reading this, can I personally thank you for such a brilliant blog and also your fantastic work for Dr Who Magazine,Viz etc.
That's enough from me;thank you to admin for activating my account and " see you in the funny pages " :D

A very belated welcome, Jim.

I used to live in Kent so virtually an ex-neighbour.

For me, Look-In was one of those strange comics, which I did get sporadically at the time, in that I didn't really like it but I loved some of its strips including those that you have mentioned.
Reading comics since 1970. My Current Regulars are: 2000 AD (1977-), Judge Dredd Megazine (1990-), Spaceship Away (2003-), Commando (2013-), Deadpool and Wolverine (2023-), Quantum (2023-), Fantastic Four (2025-).

Lew unfortunately left a long time ago. He's pretty active on Facebook though. He announced his retirement recently.

I'm not on FB or any other social media as I'm pretty old fashioned but thanks for the info Starscape.
I used to really enjoy Lews' comic blog.
