Facilities for sharing photos
Facilities for sharing photos
I can no longer use Photobucket for sharing photos here because I need to change to a package that uses third party hosting and it's too expensive for me. What other facilities would enable me to share photos on the forum?

On the few times I've posted photos here I've used Tiny Pic.Tammyfan wrote:I can no longer use Photobucket for sharing photos here because I need to change to a package that uses third party hosting and it's too expensive for me. What other facilities would enable me to share photos on the forum?

I use Flickr which has free options - also fine.
jintycomic.wordpress.com/ Excellent and weird stories from the past - with amazing art to boot.
Re: Facilities for sharing photos
A test to make sure I am not being too simplistic about recommending Flickr! Note that you do need to chosee the BBCode option on Flickr to upload onto this forum but then it works nicely:

Incidentally, that's a super photo Jenni! Who knew that dinosaurs were so cute? (presumably eyelashes and mascara tend not to survive in the fossil record)

Yes, hard to fossilise those elements This was in a super dinosaur museum in France, which had a great Quetzalcoatalus skeleton too amongst others.philcom55 wrote:Incidentally, that's a super photo Jenni! Tammyfan, in case you are still working it out, here are the steps:
Go the Flickr photo page, eg https://www.flickr.com/photos/jinty/33233231753/
Click on the arrow below & to the right of the photo (help text is 'Share photo')
Choose BBCode option and the photo size you want
Copy text supplied on Flickr, and paste it into this forum.

If anyone wants to friend me on Flickr that's my photostream, as you might have already guessed.
