REVISITING COLIN BAKER AS THE DOCTOR

Post by jim244 »

So.....
Probably an age thing, I stopped watching Dr Who at some point during my teens (Davison series 2) and returned with Colin (series 2).
Re watching Colins' era from "Twin Dilemma" onwards ,I absolutely love his performance.
I'm surprised to find him often bottom of the list of Drs from the original series.
A superb actor and if circumstances had been different should have continued for many years, perhaps even surpassing Tom Bakers' reign.
Second season suffers from continual court scenes and ambiguous scripts but is strong either way.
Colin was brilliant.

Hi, Jim.

Have you heard of Big Finish? They produce full cast Doctor Who audio adventures and a lot of Colin Baker's are amongst the best.
Reading comics since 1970. My Current Regulars are: 2000 AD (1977-), Judge Dredd Megazine (1990-), Spaceship Away (2003-), Commando (2013-), Deadpool and Wolverine (2023-), Quantum (2023-), Fantastic Four (2025-).
