Unfortunately, the newsagents won't be selling it. They couldn't get the distro sorted so it's comic shops only. I think this unfortunately virtually guarantees lower sales.
It reminds me when I was part of a group that was going to publish a book of small press comics to gain wider readership. I tried to get the members to go with comic shop distro - they didn't want to invest the money, so were going for small press distro. The result would be it would only reach the people already buying small press, so fails before it starts. Unfortunately, with Strip it's only going to be comic shop go-ers (tend to be mature), rather than it's intended and natural audience of 10-14 year olds.
I'll still look forward to it and will be buying it. But I should be the least of it's target audience, when I suspect I'm now it's typical audience.
