The no news whatsoever re issue 2 for subscribers after this time-lag is very disappointing. I cannot help but start to think the game is up for subs.

  • I've yet to see #1 (Vol 2) which has been in the shops for weeks.
  • God knows what will happen to #2 (Vol 2).
  • John Freeman has not been in touch since 02 April!
  • Prior to that my issues were always in the post but destined never to arrive.
I am well and truly fed up with this P**s poor customer service. Incompetent doesn't come near describing their performance.

That's better.
I can now report that, thanks to John Freeman's efforts, I now have a decent copy of #7. One down, two to go.

Phoenix: Surely, if you were to win the lottery, Sid, the parameters would change. You would then be in a position to buy the company, grease a few palms, and then bob's your uncle, you would get control of the magazine and its distribution network, for want of a better description, and everybody would get their copy on the scheduled release date, and joy would be unconfined.
SID: My thoughts exactly, Phoenix. My status as a comic fan survives intact.

Kid Robson: Nah! You'd lose all your lottery win on it!
No I wouldn't as I wouldn't invest everything in it. ;)

Seriously though, the fact that a comic fails due to distribution issues is unforgivable. There is certainly no excuse for the subs not getting through.

I'd love it to recover but its hard to see it coming back from this. It may well have already expired.

Think twice before subscribing folks.

We will have to see though rather than disappearing completely, I wonder if it will go fully digital.

Fingers crossed that it will continue in print.

No 2.3, no more news on their website and still no Facebook page.

Doesn't look good does it? Considering that last issue was almost six months ago.

Sad, very very sad. :(

Incidently, I never received my 2.3 sub - I had to get a copy from WHSmiths.

DC Thomson really aren't having much luck with that character are they? Two revival attempts (The Dandy's Retro Active being the other) both cut short.

The future of STRIP, and the outstanding issues mentioned above, like subs copies of #2, are all in the hands of the publisher... who very much wants to get them sorted and get it on track. There's no point going into detail because everything is dependent on factors over which I have no influence.
